Moordzaken: Liefde is geen Alibi
This follow-up series about Belgian crimes centers around intimate partner homicides that show how love can turn into deadly violence, and how the warning signs were often visible long before the tragedy struck.
Moordzaken: Liefde is geen Alibi
In its second season, Moordzaken: Liefde is geen alibi (Murder cases: Love is not an alibi) shines a spotlight on domestic murders in Belgium, tragic cases in which love and trust degenerated into deadly violence. Crime reporter José Masschelin looks back on true stories of partners or ex-partners who were murdered, often after warning signs were missed or ignored. Through in-depth interviews with families, legal experts, and psychologists, the series not only reconstructs the crimes, but also brings to light the complex emotions, underlying motives, and social issues such as stalking and domestic violence. Above all, it confronts those left behind with the pressing question: could these tragedies have been prevented?
