The series consists of eight episodes dealing with this unique profession and the wide variety of tasks for an investigating judge; coordinating judicial investigations, interrogating and arresting suspects, being present at house searches, or visiting arrested suspects in prison. The following eight examining magistrates were featured in the series: Philippe Van Linthout (Mechelen), Goedele Franssens (Antwerp), Danny Mathys (Leuven), Patrick Gaudius (Brussels), Bie Melis (Antwerp), Karel Van Cauwenberghe (Antwerp), Els De Breucker (Brussels) and Katrijn Helsen (Turnhout).
