In a brand-new season of Justices of the Peace, judges across eight Flemish magistrate courts take us front- and backstage in their daily working lives. From bitter neighbor feuds and escalating housing crises to fragile citizens in need of protection, they stand right at the heart of society.

‍

Guided by their core principle "peace if possible, justice if necessary", these characterful judges act as chameleons across all walks of life. Whether mediating in the courtroom, rolling up their sleeves for an on-site inspection, or checking in on citizens at home and in hospitals, they cut through the noise to find practical, humane solutions. The court closest to the people returns: authentic, sharp, and recognizably human.
