Lam Gods

Campaign to highlight the new visitor centre in St Bavo's Cathedral and the unveiling of the restored 'Mystic Lamb'. And who knows, we might have found the infamously missing panel while filming.

Lam Gods

In the run-up to the opening of the new visitor centre in St Bavo's Cathedral and the unveiling of the restored Mystic Lamb in its final place inside the new visitor centre, Tourism Flanders is launching a major social media campaign: 'The Ghent Altarpiece. The return of its divine colours'. The campaign is about the amazing journey the painting made and the heavy blows it had to endure. From theft and vandalism to fire and other damage. Two brothers from Antwerp, Stijn and Jonas, travel, by order of Tourism Flanders, to all the special places in Europe where the iconic panels have a history, talk to experts and let themselves be inspired by the wonderful history of the Mystic Lamb.

The goal? To encourage art lovers worldwide to appreciate the famous work of our Flemish masters Jan and Hubert Van Eyck. Throughout the trip, one of the brothers wears the same clothes. In this way, Tourism Flanders wants to give an idea of the impact of time and travel on colours, because the Mystic Lamb has had a lot to endure.
