The long road to the throne' zooms in on some of the most important moments in the life of King Filip through archival footage and interviews with authoritative journalists, politicians, and people from the King's entourage. A number of former employees of Filip and/or the Palace speak in front of the camera for the first time.
This is much more than telling a piece of the great royal history. Here, the makers focus on the everyday life of Filip and how exactly his long-drown-out wait for the throne made him a much more professional and respected king than many criticasters ever expected.
