In 'Dennis vs. Black Magic', documentary filmmaker Peter Boeckx - known from the TV programme 'The Sky Is The Limit' - takes a glimpse into the life of controversial figure Dennis 'Black Magic' Burkas, also known for the infamous 'Zundays' parties at Antwerp's 'Zillion'.

In September 2019, Dennis 'Black Magic' Burkas was released from prison. He was serving a sentence for sexual offenses, for the third time. Peter Boeckx awaited him at the prison gate and sketches a portrait of Dennis Burkas' life after the prison sentence and his attempt to reinvent porn. Peter Boeckx maintained contact with Dennis during his sentence and decided to record a two-part documentary series about his (daily) life after his release.
Docu-maker Peter Boeckx wants to show the 'other side' of the notorious media figure, hence the title 'Dennis vs. Black Magic'. Who is Dennis behind his juicy stage name? What are his plans for the future after his imprisonment? How involved is he in the film production of 'Zillion', the film by Flemish director Robin Pront about the dance temple of the same name in the nineties? All these questions (and more) will be answered.
