FOMO cast & crew grace red carpet at Kinepolis premier

On Tuesday (28/06/2022) FOMO made its debut on the big screen at Kinopolis Antwerp. The premiere started under great interest from both celebrities and fans with a completely sold out venue. The original horror story by Ilse Schooneknaep and Maximiliaan Verheyen stars ten Flemish influencers who fight for their lives in order to escape a masked serial killer. Leander Hanssen Jr. took on the directing role while production was in the hands of our team at Borgerhoff and Lambrights TV.

The general production of a Flemish horror film, is quite unique as it’s an underrepresented genre in the contemporary Belgian film landscape. Other than the film technical challenges that are intrinsic to the genre, the planned duration of the shoot for this specific project was only 28 days. Naturally, this asked for a well oiled strategy and team to support the whole process: before, during and after filming. The eery settings, dark colour pallet and intricate sound design make for the perfect nightmarish tableau for the film. These scenes were partly recorded in the woods of Herselt, as well as a real wartime bunker which were a perfect fit for the genre.

Starring: Nora Dari (Alliyah), Joffrey Anane (Ashon), Nathan Bouts (Toby), Hariette Sylva (Robin), Oscar Louis Högström (Lowie), Sarah-Lynn Clerckx (Billie), Leonard Santos (Mauritz), Ayana Doucouré (Luna), Kes Bakker (Charles), Gilles Van Hecke (Xander), Steffi Merci (Cleo), Jamie-Lee Six (Pauline)
